RJResearch Interests

My interests are in game bird ecology and evolution of galliforms, endangered species with particular emphasis on the spotted owl, and habitat relationships of wildlife with an emphasis on sustainable wildlife management strategies for forest-dwelling species. In addition, I maintain a strong interest in sustainable hunting strategies. Most of my work has a strong applied focus.
